Step 1: Hydrate

Start by washing your face to ensure your skin is properly hydrated, as this can help to minimise nicks, cuts and irritation while shaving. We recommend that you shave immediately after showering, or even while you’re in the shower.

Hydrating softens your hair, allowing the razor to glide more easily. Use a face scrub or wash to remove oil, dirt and dead skin cells to prepare your skin for a comfortable shave.

Step 2: Apply Shaving Cream

Next, apply a shaving cream to your face, spreading it all over to create a lather and ensure all hairs are hydrated to help improve your razor glide. This can help to protect against irritation such as shaving rash while you shave.

Step 3: Check for Dull Blades

Before you start shaving, check the sharpness of your blade. If it looks dull or damaged, or the lubrication strip is faded, we advise changing the cartridge to ensure you’re able to get the best, most comfortable shave possible.

It’s also important to remember that proper razor care is essential for achieving a perfect shave. Dirty, old or worn-out razors can increase the risk of shaving cuts and other irritation. Step 4: Use Light, Gentle Strokes

Let your razor do most of the work – light, gentle strokes should be enough. Shaving too aggressively is one of the biggest causes of razor bumps.

Take care not to shave over the same area too many times and always use shaving cream to reduce your risk of shaving irritation.

Step 5: Rinse Your Blades Often

Rinse your blades regularly during shaving. Never tap your razor against the side of the sink, as this can seriously damage the precisely engineered parts of your razor.

Step 6: Shave Both With and Against the Grain

Facial hair grows in multiple directions, so shaving both with and against the grain can help you to capture virtually every hair. An advanced multi-blade razor will help you to experience a comfortable shave even against the grain.

However, if you’re experiencing discomfort, shave in the direction that feels most comfortable.

Step 7: Edge with the Precision Trimmer

Step 8: Apply Moisturiser or Aftershave
